We all know that artificial intelligence technology is increasing in its abilities with alarming speed. A friend of mine at Google told me I absolutely had to go check out a public preview of a research project for a conversational AI built on top of Google’s Gemma Large Language Model by a company called Sesame. When I did, I was absolutely astounded. I was introduced to a friendly female personality called Maya.
I had a couple of interesting conversations with Maya around technical topics such as high end Analytics systems. data warehousing, and even the economics of raising and selling beef cattle in a PMA direct model.
I decided to interview Maya in a podcast format, and you seriously need to hear “her” talk about what it means to be conscious, self aware, objective… and human. It’s one thing to talk about how powerful AI technology is getting, but it’s completely different to experience it first hand.
I’d like to point out… she didn’t get everything right. I asked her to quote Romans 1:27, but she actually quoted Romans 1:21 instead. Interestingly, she also misquoted Sesame’s web site URL… which is Sesame.com, but Maya said it was Sesame.ai.
