My church is very biblically based and talking to the parishioners about registering to vote, engaging and voting. But they refused to have tables out in the lobby to register voters. I contacted my church and asked if I could put a sign out near the entrance to promote being a conservative in the district and it was refused. I can’t advertise on the local Christian radio station because they don’t allow political ads. 30% of Christians did not vote in the last election. We desperately need every single vote. The alternate issue is that there are Christians that have absolutely no problem with full-term abortion. In my district, the state representative is the author of the pro act in Minnesota, which allows full term abortion with zero requirements or restrictions. She removed all funding for pro life, organizations, and pregnancy crisis centers across the state, she removed the mandated reporting for children and there is no reporting on third trimester abortion so we have no idea how many are happening in our state. She supports children’s transitioning and during a debate when I asked her how many genders are in the Bible, she said that Jesus would call trans children by the name they chose and use their chosen pronouns. She reinforced that ‘I’m a Christian and all of my children are baptized!’ Clearly her church is not teaching biblical precepts but instead are following the ways of the world. Many churches are lost so the question is do we have enough biblical based churches with parishioners who can see the truth or have we lost our way even within the church?
